“I didn’t think I played my best,” said Williams.
She was the only one of that opinion.
The host Tigers held off unbeaten, nationally-ranked Chicago Whitney Young in the fourth quarter and upset the Dolphins 69-66 before 2,000 fans.
"That was a huge one, we've never beat those guys before,'' Heights coach Keith Guy said. "It tells me my team on any given night can play with anybody. We hung in there. Our guys weren't intimidated at all.''
Heights built its biggest lead at 65-56 with 3 minutes left, but the Dolphins came roaring back behind Purdue-bound Anthony Johnson.

Lakeview junior Clay Youngquist competes in the 200 freestyle event at the Spartan Invitational on Saturday.
And while the host Spartans finished fifth in the eight-team event, it was a meet that head coach Kyle Lott hopes will stay with his swimmers until the state finals in March.
Division 1 top-ranked Saline finished with 578 points to edge the 576 score by Division 2 top-ranked Birmingham Groves to win the fourth annual Spartan Invite. Lakeview, ranked No. 6 in Division 2, finished with 201 points.
"We changed our team a little bit today in some areas, and a couple guys that swam pretty good will make our state meet team better," Lott said. "It's very much a state-level competition meet, and what I hope is that our young guys watch and learn from what happened."
